We aim to empower citizens and communities through education, supporting policy and legislations that advance the interest of the people.

About Us
WE ARE UNBOUND
Our History
In 2018, a group of visionary founding members, led by Co-founders Prescott Smith, Nahaja Black, Suzette Scott, and Larry Bowleg, came together with a shared belief in the critical importance of sustainable natural resource management for the future of their country. Recognizing the value in championing the cause of the citizens and advocating for their sovereign rights, they envisioned an organization that would serve as a catalyst for change. Their unwavering commitment to transparency and accountability led them to take bold action by advocating for a Ministry of Natural Resources in Parliament. To garner support for their cause, they initiated a petition, which was signed by concerned individuals and stakeholders. In March 2019, The Honorable Reece Chipman tabled this petition in the House of Assembly, furthering their mission to establish the Ministry
Through their united efforts, these founding members aimed to ensure that the citizens of their country would become benefactors from the wealth of its natural resources. Their dedication and determination serve as an inspiration to others, as they strive to shape a future where responsible resource management and the empowerment of the people go hand in hand.
The first serving President of The Bahamas Natural Resources Foundation was Dana Munnings. Larry Bowleg became the second serving President. In September, 2020, Aje Cunningham assumed leadership as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer. Each of these trail blazers have contributed to the development of the foundation forging the path to where we stand today
